Is theory enough…?

During my research to write this portfolio I first struggled to build my mental model because every aspect of marketing has a specific role in the strategy to build relationships with customers and it has been difficult to select only a few of them to build a simplified scheme.

I also faced some difficulties to provide examples regarding the theories I have been explaining in my essays that American readers would know because my knowledge of marketing is mainly applied to European companies.

Finally, as I read the book and realized I knew and understood most of the content, I feared not to be able to use it in practice in my future professional career. My three years of marketing studies have been mostly theoretical. Despite the several marketing plans, SWOT analysis and 4-P’s classifications I have made during my academic career, I lack actual experience of professional marketing that companies would require to hire me in their marketing department.

Nonetheless, this Marketing Blog has been a great way to assess my knowledge and understanding of marketing concepts.
